It sounds simple, but reading fantasy. I didn't like reading when I was younger, but when a friend's mom gave me a copy of a Dragonlance book, I devoured it and every other fantasy book I could get my hands on. Then I started getting my own ideas for stories and here we are. 🙂

The entire series started with Dragonsphere. The idea for the novel came when I was helping my wife watch small children in our church nursery. One of the kids was playing with a toy that was shaped like a ball and had buttons on it that played music.
I thought to myself, what if there was a sphere that had a dragon trapped in it? And to keep it locked inside, music would have to be played. And then I started writing it. Originally it was intended to only be a stand alone novel, but it ended up being the first in the series of 4 books.

Believe it or not, I didn't like reading until a friend introduced me to the fantasy genre. After that, I couldn't stop reading. I always had my own creative ideas, even before I liked reading. I decided one day that writing is what I wanted to do.
