Lucille Turner Probably Arthur and George, by Julian Barnes. Not your conventional couple, but artfully brought tougher by Barnes and intensely contrasted as the paths of their lives cross
Lucille Turner I am fascinated by history's icons, such as Leonardo da Vinci, who was the subject of GIOCONDA. My next two books will be in a similar vein. I am also very interested in the intersections between history and myth.
Lucille Turner I always wrote as a child, but later life got in the way. It took me too long to get back to it. Wish I'd done that sooner. I think that reading inspired me to write. I remember reading Watership Down about ten times as a child. I always loved the classics, such as Charlotte's Web and The Secret Garden.
Lucille Turner A new historical novel, details of which will be out soon on my website www.lucilleturner.com (not yet live)

Lucille Turner I find that a walk always does the trick whenever I am stuck on something that won't come clear. Either that or doing repetitive tasks. You need to take your mind off the book for a while. When you do, things seem to shift into place themselves.
