My recent book: THINGS I NEVER TOLD (by debra phillips) is based on true events, but embellished with fiction. I've wondered from time to time what would have happened if I had learned the identity of the man that assaulted me and threatened to take my life. It took me years to actually be able to tell the story of that night.
