Narnia! I would love to meet a centaur nose to nose and dance a jig with a fawn. Oh, and while we're fantasizing, I'd like to be 16 and just happen to run into hunky Prince Caspian on a sunny day in the forest. :-D

It's sort of like a rash ... an idea starts to itch and the more you scratch it, the more it spreads. Pretty soon you can't stop clawing yourself and you simply must do something about it.

I usually get ideas for book topics (I write nonfiction women's inspirational humor) from women ... either from discussion in groups I attend or subjects continually brought up online or during my speaking gigs. If something is a big concern to a lot of women, it stands to reason a book about it would be a good idea. For example, conversations about ways of dealing with stress birthed my book Too Blessed to be Stressed, which sold over 750,000 copies. Must be something women are interested in, right?

I'd say Arlo and Janis (the comic strip by Jimmy Johnson). They remind me of the goofy relationship between my little mister and me. I have at least three clippings taped up around our house of Arlo and Janis mirroring our own sometimes absurd habits. After near 40 years of marriage, we, too have grown weird together.

Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms is the latest in my bestselling Too Blessed to be Stressed series. It releases Sept 1 and I'm really excited about the awesome reviews.
Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms is all about hot topics like mom-guilt, worry, time management, emotional damage control, finding room to breathe, and simply being enough.
My books aren't for the have-it-all-together; they're for the scattered and tattered, scarred and scared. All of my Too Blessed to be Stressed books address serious women's issues with truth gift-wrapped in humor. If you're so stressed you feel like a ticking mom-bomb, Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms is for you!
I've been quite honored by receiving two Mom's Choice Awards, the Selah Literary Award, the Illumination Book Award for exemplary Christian books, and a Reader Views Award.
