I love when I get that first idea and the characters start to come into my head. Also I can work at home, set my own hours, and let my imagination go wild:) Though if I'm not structured enough, I'll see the time flying by and not get what I need done. So, even with writing you have to be somewhat structured and do the research, editing and all the other stuff that goes with the fun part.

I'm lucky to not have that problem often. But if I do, I call a writer friend, or read a book or watch shows on television that might trigger an idea. I have an author friend who does planning with me and she's a great help.

Nothing at this moment. After I finish a book, I always have to clean up my office and give myself time to refresh. But in a week or two, I plan to start my next Navy SEAL's book about Heath.

That's a difficult question. Sometimes an idea just pops into my head or something I read or hear on television might make me start thinking. My husband used to always ask where do get these ideas and I'd always say, I don't know:) And my planning partner is always a good person to get me started if I'm stuck.

I had decided to stop writing Regency books and a friend of mine was writing about Navy SEALs. I did some research, watched some movies and the new television show about Navy SEALs . Then I began to get some ideas. I don't like to plan a book too far ahead. I just do a bit of work before I start, but if I do too much I've sometimes lost interest in the story. I also meet frequently with a friend who's a writer and we discuss our stories and get ideas.
