Whether or not you believe Jesus was God, he was certainly a man. The most commonly read records of his life, the canonical gospels, are defective as biographical sources; they are both repetitive and contradictory. The gospels which were labeled as apocryphal are, from the purely biographical point of view, of equal authority; none of the gospels of either type were written during Jesus's life or by people who knew him personally (with the possible exception of John, whose gospel dates so late that his memory might well have been more constructive than accurate).
