I started Caught in the Devil's Sheets in November of 2013. I was in the middle of Sons of Anarchy, and I had just finished reading through 50 Shades of Grey. I have always been huge into the dark side, and motorcycles. After finishing 50 Shades, I thought the only thing that could have really made it better, was if Mr. Grey had been less of a softy. I'd always wanted to write my own novel, and I came up with a vague story line of a character who, like Christian, had a colorful past and masochistic tendencies, I just took it up a few hundred notches. I incorporated the story being based around an MC, and drug mulling, because that's the kind of books I like to read. My interests don't lie with billionaire CEO's but rather with bad ass biker boys, psychos, and killers.
As I was writing Caught in the Devil's Sheets, my friends would ask me what's your book about. I would respond with "Well, it's basically like Sons of Anarchy, meets 50 Shades of Grey, meets my wild and twisted imagination, with a small bit of real life truth."

Everything inspires me to write. Every book I read, I think to myself, I could do this! Every time I hear, or read, or see anything that catches my interest, I think I could somehow incorporate it into a story. Sons of Anarchy, riding on the back of a bike, reading other dark romance novels, 4:20, and life experiences themselves all inspire me to write in my current series.

I'm currently working on promoting my first novel, Caught in the Devil's Sheets. I am also writing the sequel, Tangled in a Web of Lies.

I'm a new author myself, having just published my first novel, Caught in the Devil's Sheets, so I'm not really in a place to give advice. Hopefully one day I'll be a big best selling author with buckets of good advice. But one thing I do know, is if something makes you happy, you should do it! I enjoy writing, and even if a hundred people told me I should quit, I wouldn't. Neither should any aspiring writers. If you love something as much as I love to write stories, you should do it no matter where it takes you. Maybe people will love it, maybe they'll hate it, but if you love it, do it!

That's easy. When someone tells you after reading your book, that they loved it, and couldn't put it down, you get this amazing feeling of worth. That is my favorite part of being a writer. (That and seeing my parents horrified faces every time they read my work.)

I don't really get writer's block. What I get is more like the opposite. I want to try and write a hundred different stories at once, because I have so many half thought out ideas. To not lose interest in a story I'm working on, the first key is to really be in love with your own characters. I feel like my lead character always reminds me of myself in some way, and I have a connection to them. Second is to make sure there is always something exciting happening in the plot. This makes it easier to keep moving along. If I ever can't figure out exactly where I want to take my story, or I'm having trouble sitting down and concentrating, I try to read a book or watch related movies for inspiration.
