Actually, it's super fun! I have always had wildly vivid dreams. More like movies that I get to watch almost every night. This young adult book that I am currently writing was a dream I had a few months ago and thanks to my visual brain, I was able to recall everything and, with a few changes, came up with an idea that I am really excited about.

As an artist of different mediums, I find creativity everywhere I look. It may not necessarily be for something I am writing, but it could lead to inspiration for a photoshoot I will photograph. A particular shot that I took could lead to inspiration for another project and so on and so on. I call it my internal creative spiderweb.

Just write. Don't get caught up in the logistics of publishing until you write. Don't convince yourself that you need to be all fancy with your words. Don't overthink it. That's what a rough draft is for and utilizing it will allow your writing to go a long way. When you begin to overthink, you will be held back from letting your mind wander and discover new stories.

Growing up, I read books to escape the real world that I was never comfortable in. The idea that I am not only able to escape to other worlds, but to also be able to create them is something that is really exciting to me.

I have music playing the entire time. YouTube has some great (and very long) videos that only play music that is known to help increase focus and creativity. I'll also sometimes try to draw inspiration for other projects as I am an artist of other mediums to give myself time away.

I would love to be a demigod in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It's my all-time favorite series and often think about how much of an adventure that would be.

To be honest, I haven't gotten that far just yet. I have a whole bunch of books that I want to read but haven't dwindled down the list. Any recommendations? I LOVE young adult and fantasy books!

I lived in a farmhouse in my small, rural hometown when I was a young child. I can swear up and down that there was some interesting paranormal activity that happened during our time living there that happened to everyone in the family, not just me. I think (and have been thinking) it would be really fun to have the experiences that I had to be a base of a fun young adult book.
