Jan Wood I started writing A Grip on Reality as a memoir for my two children - to set the record straight in many ways. Then as it developed I decided to write my first half century with a sequel on its way. Several writer friends gave me advise on self publishing and here I am today with an Ebook and the paperback coming very soon.
Jan Wood It allows you to explore a different world, an experience difficult describe. It's as though you become another person as the words flow through you. I think it's exciting to read what you've written and to say to yourself, "where did that come from"? I'm a memoir writer, so I don't delve into fiction which I'm sure would be another dimension of writing.

Jan Wood Don't doubt yourself. Attend lots of workshops so you learn the art of creative writing. Then just starting writing. Surround yourself with like-minded people.
