James Haller It had to do with opening Blue Strawbery in Portsmouth N.H., how it came about and how we did it on 2700 dollars. The place ran for twenty five years. You know, destiny lays it all out for you, and it all began with a piece of lapis lazuli in 1969.
James Haller I don't know. The muse rushes in, stays for awhile, then leaves, then returns, etc. etc.
I've tried fiction but I'm not good at it. But a sort of "memoir" attitude is what I do best. I've written eight books, all published, and all about my own experiences. I simply love writing.

James Haller Just sit down and start putting down anything that comes to mind, and keep on writing until you feel t's all out. Then leave it alone for a couple of weeks, go back and start erasing everything you think is not important to the story. AND..there's the rub!
James Haller It's so personal as an act of creativity it makes me feel somewhat complete.
James Haller Too hard to answer, but usually I just leave the piece alone, go out to the kitchen and cook. Since that's what I do, (cook) it gives me respite from the anxiety.
