Decades ago, I lived in a remote log cabin in rural Vermont. The propane water heater was very loud, and if I was in the basement when it was running, behind the racket, I thought I heard feminine voices singing a strange melody. I heard it frequently, and it always caught my attention and spurred my imagination. That experience is now the first scene of my new release, The Sirens of Sayhurn, a paranormal urban fantasy.
