I try to create as many ideas as possible and get them down onto paper, no matter what the outcome is, and I'll filter through everything later. If I'm still having problems coming up with fresh ideas, I'll do something that I really enjoy, just to take my mind off of the stress. Such as playing the guitar, listening to music, watching a good movie or going for a quiet walk.
