Alexandra Roma There are a LOT of moments that were really emotional for me to write. That was sort of just this book. Make Alex Emotional: the novel. A lot of the scenes of Celin, Nico, and Alasdair showing how much they care for one another really stay with me. And there's a scene that takes up the spotlight of the last chapter that I was pretty much building up to for the whole book. THAT was very emotional for me.
Alexandra Roma Celin is usually the easiest to write, because she's been in my head the longest. I've even played her as a D&D character for a few years now. But Alasdair is also really fun to write.
Alexandra Roma There's a scene where Celin is talking to another person on the aro/ace spectrum about the different identities there. I came up with my own labels in the setting based on that character's language, which was fun. Anyway, it's something that resonates with Celin but that she's never had the words for, and having that conversation is very validating for her. I hope readers who are also on that spectrum can feel seen there just as she did.
