Monette Bebow-Reinhard How two very opposite people could remain married for 46 years.
Monette Bebow-Reinhard My most recent one is an archaeology adventure and two things happening in one day did that for me. One is a male griping about my research, and the other was the new Lara Croft movie trailer. More than that I'm not gonna say!
Monette Bebow-Reinhard Boredom, mostly. I hate sitting still. I don't like small talk. I don't like watching TV - I used to crochet so I wouldn't fall asleep. I don't have time to crochet anymore. And then there are the characters, but I will admit, I had a dream about Arabus Drake, as the first real character I started researching and writing about, and then I went back to my childhood and began to write short Bonanza fanfic. Well, the rest, as they say, is history!
Monette Bebow-Reinhard Two things, the third novel with the vrykolakas Arabus Drake, this time a full contemporary love story with the great granddaughter of his love in the end of the first published novel. And also Dinner at Marshall Field's which is being passed around at a number of places right now. It's a 1960s saga of a woman who must learn to become independent, as she tries to remember her past before the mysterious someone kills her.
Monette Bebow-Reinhard Take your time. Learn the craft. Don't be in a hurry. Big money does not live here. It takes time, patience, love, and most of all, a keen observance of humanity.
Monette Bebow-Reinhard Pouring all this stuff out of my head so it doesn't bounce around up there nagging me! Seriously, I have these visions of how life can be improved, so I focus all of my novels on some element where we as human beings can all learn to understand each other better.
Monette Bebow-Reinhard I never get writer's block! I wish I would, so I could rest! Seriously, if you mean on those days when it feels like there are no words in my head for what I'm trying to put on paper, it's simply a matter of closing my eyes and visually what i want to say. I also like the trick of ending in the middle of a paragraph so that the next day's work is easier to pick up. I'm also a fan of outlining a novel so that I always know the structure of the book, even though the characters will always take it off in directions of their own choosing. I simply change the outline and keep up to them.
