So. I read Iron Bloom, which is #1, and am reading Iron Flower, which is labelled as #2, but there's clearly a huge gap between the two. What's going on there? PS I loved reading your earlier drafts back when on Baen's Bar.

Billy Wong There is only a few years' gap as Rose is 16 at the end of Bloom and 19 at the start of Flower, but aside from that Flower was actually written first and Bloom later as a prequel to show how she started out - since stuff in between like the dragon fight and meeting Finn were covered in Flower, I didn't think there needed to be a second prequel to bridge the gap between them. There are a couple of shorts showing Rose adventures in between though.
