The Irish Within Us was conceived due to the travel restrictions under COVID. I have been doing genealogy research for over a decade. I had big plans to go to Antrim in the summer of 2020 and dig deep under my family tree and to meet distant family still living there. Of course, all that was shelved. Stuck at my writing desk and isolated for months, my mind started making up ridiculous stories of what could happen. It just snowballed from there.
