Psychological and neurological research suggests the brain has two processing systems: 1 and 2. System 1 is involuntary. it works in the background 24/7. I let it do its work by subconsciously obsessing about the next idea and looking for solutions. All that while system 2 keeps doing its normal, deliberate, cognitive demanding tasks such as unloading the dishwasher.
