What am I NOT working on? I have more cowboy stories in my head, and of course more Viking warrior heroes that want their saga told. I even have a historical fantasy novel (think, Narnia or Harry Potter) that is nagging at me. No matter what I choose to write at the moment, I always ten more waiting in line. If only I could write as fast as I conjure them up.

I find inspiration everywhere. Sometimes in a song, sometimes with the people I meet on a daily basis (especially strangers engaging in conversation—yes, I often eavesdrop, but I swear it's for research purposes only haha) and sometimes in the places I visit on vacation or on horseback riding trips. Nothing is too fleeting for me.

I've found that within the romance genre, it has the most amazing, loyal fans. Getting to meet some of them in person at book signings and conferences is so rewarding and very inspirational. I'm an extrovert and a total people person, so spending time with my readers and connecting with them is truly the highlight of my career.
And if I have to be honest, another perk about being an author is that I get to work in my pajamas!
