The Village Witch (due from Omnium Gatherum early in 2015) is an amalgam of different ideas and thoughts, as most books are I suspect. I wanted to write a book set in a small village near the sea. I wanted to write a 'creature' book but using a creature that hadn't been overdone by others. I had these two characters from my novelette (and my brother's original short story from the 70's) The Evil Incantation and I wanted to show how they met and teamed up. All these things melted together and out came The Village Witch. I think it works.
