My first choice would be to travel to the historic Scottish Highlands to my Great Grandparents farm in the early 19th Century. They raised sheep, and horses and dogs. And I heard tales of seeing for a hundred miles just standing in the hillside meadows.

From my everyday surroundings. I'll be driving along and suddenly, Wham, an idea hits me. it might force me to remember something I've seen or experienced or just imagined that I saw. My problem lies in the ridiculous number of ideas I have in files, saved in some cases for more the 20 years. Seriously, I have some stored on 5" floppy discs! :)

I really don't have any idea! All I ever want to do is write. When I'm not writing, my imagination runs wild about people I see where ever I might be at the moment. I watch people and give them a character name and create a back story for them. My desire to create never shuts down!

The best thing about writing is having license to allow the imagination to just run wild. It is very relieving and almost spiritual. I get to vent and even kill if that is what it takes. I travel to where my imagination takes me and travel with whomever I choose. And the tickets are very inexpensive!

My responses to questions about Writer's block have always been very similar. I don't believe in writer's block. The situation is about fear. I just get over the fear about what I am writing and just DO IT!

James Patterson by James Patterson, Matthew McConaughey's Greenlights, Oliver Stone's The Untold History of the United States, a collected volume titled Great American Conspiracies and another dozen or so. Then comes Fall and some serious reading!

Sadly, my life has been an open book about anything that might have become a mystery. That said, there are so many good stories that I saw bits and pieces of that I'll never be able to write all of those books!
