If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Nicola Monaghan Narnia, obviously! I would want to find a fictional horse to make friends with, and I'd also like some Turkish Delight. Hopefully not the bad kind :)

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Nicola Monaghan Okay, so people will either wildly agree or massively disagree with me on this... Although, fans of my fiction might think it makes sense :) My favourite fictional couple are Nick and Amy from Gone Girl. Obviously, they don't have a particularly healthy relationship. For me, that's what's so interesting about them. Overthinking and manipulative (sociopathic? maybe...) Amy is such a well drawn character. Nick too. Neither are particularly likable but they make sense together. I won't say much more because, spoilers, but I really do love Gillian Flynn's writing. Also rans include Mickey and Mallory from Natural Born Killers, and Holly and Kit from Badlands. I would have picked Holly and Kit as my very favourites but since we're on Goodreads, I thought I'd focus on a book instead.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Nicola Monaghan The way THE TROLL series came about was quite different from what I usually find in that it started with an idea about the structure and format of the book. I wanted to write sections from different character perspectives that began with a kind of twitter user name or hashtags on the theme of the section to come. So @louisa and @kelly, or #dreamingin140characters and so on. From there, I knew there needed to be an internet connection to the story. There was so much news around at the time about internet trolling that it felt quite natural to want to write a thriller on the subject. And so THE TROLL was born...
