I don't believe in "writer's block". At least not in the way most people use it.
Over the years it's become this thing people blame but don't actually look into the root cause of. Maybe you are tired or need food, maybe you are stressed, or maybe its an issue with your manuscript. Simply blaming writers block and waiting for it to fix itself is a bad habit I found myself getting into.

The Light of Miera is a 5 part novel series so I will be working on that for the next few years. However most of the writing and planning has been done and I am thinking of the next big project.

I was originally encouraged by Craig Hallam to plan a D&D campaign for the story idea I had, but it wasn't until I read a truly terrible novel which gave me the confidence/permission to be bad for a while.

I actually wrote A Prelude To Light in pieces. My publisher send me a publicity questionnaire to fill out and I had a massive gap where my experience should go, so I decided to fill it. I had a bunch of severed flashbacks and short stories I started and put them all together with some creative flare and thus ended up with 15 short stories I could turn into a cohesive collection.
Essentially I wrote a book to promote the series... because that makes sense!
