WHALE SONG is my "heart book" because it has so much of me in it--yet it's not my story. It also has relevant and emotional themes that resonate with readers of all ages, and both genders.

The main characters and plot tend to come to me at the same time. I usually allow a story to ferment or percolate a while. If it sticks with me, it's a keeper. In most cases, I know the beginning and end of the story before I even start writing.

My father had an exciting and mysterious life in the Canadian Armed Forces. I've learned that he went undercover, at times, and was back and forth from Europe when he was supposed to be in Canada. One day I'll write his story...or part of it.

My most recent novel is DIVINE SANCTUARY, which takes Jasi and her team to a secluded cult called Sanctuary. I was inspired by many of the stories of real-life cults. Mainly I was inspired by why some people would find a cult attractive or acceptable, and what makes it unacceptable.
