What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Matthew Arnold Stern I'm curious about the final years of my dad's life. When he was financially struggling, he got involved with a business partner who got into some shady dealings that caused my dad to face criminal investigations. The stress of his legal and financial woes, along with uncontrolled diabetes, led to his death.

Seeing an average, law-abiding person get led down a dark and self-destructive path is a relevant issue today.
