So my parents bought a house out in the country (after all their adult kids were on their own). The elderly lady that sold it to them moved in with a niece. Once fully medicated and lucid, she confessed to the murder of her mother. The mother was "buried" in their septic tank. This triggered a series of events which are remarkable. I could ABSOLUTELY write this book.

(view spoiler)[Why would Ryan in "A Place to Stand" and "Melody's Song" drive to Melody's at the same time he's telling her he can't meet her that night despite her announcement?
Is this the sequence: 1) Ryan calls Melody to cancel date while on his way to Rhae 2) Melody drops bombshell 3) Ryan re-routes to Melody without her knowing during her tantrum...all while being on the phone and crashes (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Fantastic question. Ryan's dead so we're all working with conjecture and clues from the scene of the accident, but yes. That is the most likely of sequence as I see it in my head. He was torn, obviously. Any human man would be. Especially with the news of a baby after such a long struggle. (hide spoiler)]

Write. Quit telling yourself "I can't", or "I don't know where to start". Pick a point, an idea, and write it. Start with 1 scene, then another. When you get a few pieces done, sequence, and fill in the gaps. Keep writing. Keep reading. Keep reviewing. Just keep doing something.

I usually write when the ideas in my head are taking up too much space. I know its time to write when I can't sleep because the ideas are demanding too many cycles and I can't sleep.

I asked myself, "What would I do if my husband died and I found out he was keeping a massive secret life from me?" It flowed from there on.

I just finished the final edits on A Place to Stand. I'm working on figuring out self-publishing, and then I have about 3 different story ideas in different genres. I must decide what to work on!

I turn on some music for whatever mood I'm in, and then I ask myself, "What is the worst/best thing that could happen right now?" Usually an idea pops before I can finish the first few songs.
