Sarah Kades When I was an archaeologist in northern Alberta, we used helicopters to get to remote locations in that incredibly landscape. I loved those surveys. When I transitioned into Indigenous Knowledge facilitation, I experienced the very real gap between oil companies and Indigenous communities and environmentalists in that same region. I wanted to write a book that could raise awareness and open a respectful dialogue, share my love of the natural world, but be in a fast-paced, sexy and fun story, too. That's Kiss Me in the Rain.
Sarah Kades I'm really excited about the non-fiction project I'm working on. I am currently collaborating with a homicide detective on a book sharing universal life lessons from his career in law enforcement. For my fiction work, I am working on book 2-5 in the Tanner Family Series. I love these characters! Two books are coming in at once! It's a great 'problem' to have. Stay tuned!!
Sarah Kades When the words are not flowing, I know it's time to take a quick break. Doing something physical like going for a walk, doing a few yoga poses or practicing a few reps from martial arts class always seem to work. Sometimes I take a more practical approach and get a load of laundry or dishes done. Allowing my brain to switch gears and get myself physically moving just seems to get everything flowing again.
