G.W. Prouse Write. As much as you can. There is no perfect first draft and allow that truth to settle in as you go. But you are an aspiring writer only until you begin the act of writing! Then you can make new goals and aspirations from there!
G.W. Prouse When the first ember of an idea comes to me, I begin with creating a music playlist with the vibes of the themes and setting of the story. From there, I create a moldboard on Pinterest that gets the ideas started and that ember comes more to life. Not only do I need the visuals, audio, but I also need a scent so I find a candle that I usually will burn while I am writing and editing. Once all three things are settled, then the storytelling begins and the flames turn into a wildfire. The editing phase is when I start to control the blaze and turn the inferno into a controlled burn (can you tell my partner is a firefighter yet?). Obviously the senses are a huge inspiration for me and my stories.
