An old newspaper article or reading a good book generally sparks my brain into being creative. Unfortunately, it's as unpredictable as a ghost sighting. All too often, I feel inspired when I don't have time or paper and pencil on hand.

I'm co-authoring a rewrite of Haunted Cuyahoga, hopefully out before Fall 2015. I have several other books in mind that I'm planning on taking time this winter to start tackling. Between my hectic day job and looking into relocating to a different state, I haven't been able to get into the right frame of mind for writing in far too long.

I spent several years blogging about weird news and ghost stories, and I'd been looking for out-of-the-ordinary tales whenever possible. A few stories I stumbled across involved hauntings involving gay men and lesbians, which made me wonder just how many others I could find (since no one had ever seriously asked the question before). After gathering dozens of reports, I thought it might make for an interesting book.
