That's a complex answer since the publication of Ends, Means, Laws and an Angry Ship finally revealed that Tap-Dancing is taking place in the Claimings universe. So technically, I have a lot of books in the universe and the ship from it appears in Ends, Means, Laws. However, I do plan on circling back around and writing more with those two leads once I have developed some of the ideas in the Ends, Means universe.

I am excited about Claimings being in audible. Unfortunately, that is an exceptionally expensive endeavor, so the only books I can afford to put into that format are the ones that have large sales numbers. Unfortunately, the only other book that qualifies is Earth Fathers. I'm sorry.

It should have been out early August, but my editor went to the hospital. I don't want to work with someone new and unknown, so I am waiting for her to recover and then we will go into high gear on Earth Husbands and on a new short story collection: Kensho and Other Tales and Tails from the Claimings Universe.

I do hope to write a sequel because there are too many unanswered questions, especially when you consider that the ship is the same in that and in Tap Dancing the Minefields. So there is more story to tell. However, the sales were not strong enough to warrant an audio version. I'm sorry.

I'm so glad you like the short story. I actually have 110,000 words of pony play, drama, crazy family, and blackmail. I've sent it off to ManLoveRomance to see if they will publish. If they don't, then I might break it up into three or four novels and do a series. Or I may leave it as a bonus for my ka-ranked Patreon supporters ($10 level). I should have a better idea of the book's trajectory in the next couple of months. I have my fingers crossed for MLR.

Loose Id is going out of business, so books are slowly "unpublishing" and I have not been able to find a new home, so I put Claimings, Prelude to Claimings, and some extra tidbits together and put it up as Smashwords just today. I think I have the formatting glitches solved, and it's now available at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

Loose Id closing is putting everything on hold. The original plan is for book 6 to focus on Art and Zach from El Paso (we met them in book three) with appearances by the pair. Books 7 and 8 would return to Kavon and Darren and introduce new team members as the Talent Unit split into two units and then book 9 would start with a new couple. At this point, I don't know what the plan is. Book 6 has been done for months, but I can't put it out through Loose Id, so I"m on hold as I wait for Loose Id to wrap up. I'll then put the first five books and book 6 on Smashwords. IF AM6 sells well enough to make up for the costs of my time, editing fees, and cover art fees, then I will consider following the rest of the plan

Loose Id is shutting down. Some time between now and May, all the books will be unpublished. As soon as they allow me to purchase the cover art, I will work to re-release the books through Smashwords. In the meantime, if you want, you can Paypal me $3.50 and give me your email and preferred formatting (pdf, epub, or lit). I'll send you one of my copies.

I specifically requested that the books going to paper back when the three-year contract expired and was up for renewal. Unfortunately, the sales have not been strong enough to warrant a paperback. I did a little shopping around and tried to find a new publisher, but I wasn’t able to. So I renewed the three-year contract with the current publisher, but that means no paperback

Talent is an allegory for any trait which makes a person different. Race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion--these are all categories where it's easy to lump people into "us" and "them." Talent is one more, but this time the societal habit of denying the minority any power us undermined because those with Talent have their own power. Society can't ignore them or discriminate against them nearly as easily.

(view spoiler)[In the fourth Aberrant Magic books, Talent was only tangentially related to the case: the Underwoods just happened to be shamans. How often do they get a case where people with Talent are involved but there is no use of magic in the crime? (hide spoiler)]
Lyn Gala
One of the goals of book four is to show how tangled cases and even lives get when the magical and mundane overlap. As more and more magic comes into the world, law enforcement struggles to figure out how to handle Talent. Quite often the Talent team is left out, when they should be included or they are asked to step in when it turns out that magic is not central to the case. This world is in flux. The fact that law enforcement jumped to the assumption that the shaman was the bad guy shows how this world has not found it's balance, even if Talent started seriously showing up almost two hundred years earlier.

Thank you so much. I'm so glad you enjoy the more intense power dynamics. Right now I don't have any plans to write Reeve's journey. I may change my mind later, but that is a dark, dark arc, and I have to be in a very particular mindset to write such dark stories. I'm sorry.

I hear ya! Me too, as far as reading the dark ones. Right now, I'm actually on a "fun" stories kick.

I am working on scenes from Claimings 4, so I hope that will come out some time next year. As far as whatever book to read next, it really depends on your preferences. I write a very large range of novels, even some m/f, so I would suggest you check out the descriptions and reviews. I marked what I think are my strongest books with five star ratings, so you can also look at which of my own books I marked with five stars. That's my way of telling people where they might want to start.
Lyn Gala
I really don't. I wrote that in a certain frame of mind, and I doubt that I will go that dark again.
