L.J. McDonald Unfortunately, book 5 hasn't been picked up by any publishers. There is no book 6. I didn't list it on Goodreads and I can't remove it.
L.J. McDonald Thank you. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the series so much. I'm sorry that I don't know when the next book is coming out. Amazon hasn't shown any interest in any more books so far. If that changes, I'll post the news up on my website right away.

Wish I had a better answer for you.

L.J. McDonald I think I'm largely leaving that up to the reader's imagination. I could easily come up with a way for her to be immortal if I really wanted to, but that would bring my love of happy endings face to face with my dislike of deus ex machina. But feel free to imagine whatever happy ending you want. Or happy endless?

L.J. McDonald I've already answered the bit about the Sylph series. As for the rest, yes, I'd love to publish books that aren't about the Sylphs. I haven't had much luck. I gather my work is considered too non-standard to be a safe sell, so I still get a lot of no thanks. Still trying though.

L.J. McDonald I've written five. War of the Sylphs has all the characters you know, with focus on a few who've popped up but never been really looked at before. It hasn't sold yet. Amazon is seeing how Hunter of the Sylphs does before they decide whether to keep publishing them. I have two others in mind, but neither are standard sort of romances the way the rest of the series are, so I don't know that they would even get picked up. Thanks for the question.
L.J. McDonald I usually do something else and let my muses bubble on the back burner. Or I skip the scene and come back to it later.
L.J. McDonald If you want to write, you have to write. Even if it's just for a few minutes at a time. If you keep saying you'll do it later when you have more time, you'll never get to it. A book written a paragraph at a time is still a book.

Also, don't expect instant perfection. First drafts are supposed to be crap.
L.J. McDonald Hard to say. It's like an itch I need to scratch. I just want to write, so I write.
L.J. McDonald I'm actually working on a big rewrite of a novel I first wrote ten years ago. Fantasy world, gods and demons, cursed heroine. All the good stuff.
L.J. McDonald You get to create entire worlds. It's a wonderful feeling.
