Robert Lloyd Russell The satisfaction of seeing your unique creation move from concept through various stages to a final product.
Robert Lloyd Russell Don’t write unless you can’t help but write. Producing a quality book-length manuscript is lots of hard work and almost universally lacking in material rewards such as income. If, on the other hand, you can’t help but write then go for it. Your personal satisfaction and growth make it all worthwhile.
Robert Lloyd Russell The third book of my Christian Concepts Series (Timeless Truths—Contemporary Perspectives). The first in this series was about the Christian Church—"GOD’S CHURCH: Christ’s Pearl” (5 literary awards). The second was about Christ—"GOD’S NATURE: Sonlight Sunlight” (6 literary awards). The third is about the Christian and will be entitled, “GOD’S CHILD: Like a Tree.” These books use powerful analogies between physical realities and spiritual truths. Readers have described them as “inspirational doctrine” and “living theology.”
Robert Lloyd Russell I don’t! The question implies it takes work for me to get inspired to write. In my case, I cannot help but write. If a person needs to work up inspiration to write maybe writing isn’t a good fit. Personally, I gain enough personal satisfaction from writing that selling books is not an issue for me. However, my desire is that many people read and appreciate the thoughts that I put on paper. I live a very busy life and so my problem isn’t working up inspiration but being able to carve out time for writing.
Robert Lloyd Russell The concept, and the earliest drafts for the eBook “GOD’S NATURE: Sonlight Sunlight,” began in the mid-1980s. Lined yellow tablets were the medium followed by typewriters, and eventually computers. My career background was in engineering management and a Fortune 500 company had just named me the new Engineering Manager of their camera division. I knew very little about optics or about the behavior of light so the challenge I faced was significant. At this point intense study was necessary. Almost immediately parallels between the attributes of Jesus Christ (“God is light” – 1 John 1:5) became obvious to me. I could not find any existing meaningful work dealing with the subject. I began trying to write some very complex topics in simple terms that most anyone could easily grasp. The rest is history! The earlier print book version, “GOD LIGHT: Sunlight Sonlight,” has been appreciated by well-respected theologians as well as by everyday individuals. The book has won six literary awards.
