I have a theory about writer's block - The story is already written before it gets to the writer. If you try to make the characters do/say something they didn't/wouldn't do, they WILL stop talking to you. I suggest just roll with the story and the blocks will not happen.

There are so many times I'm worried about failing or that no one will like my work. At the end of the day, I remember these stories are worth telling and they chose to write it. They deserve to be heard.

I thought about Jack stealing things from the Giant's house in Jack and the Beanstalk. Especially when the giant did nothing to Jack to provoke this behavior.
