Erotica writing has been my mainstay for many years. Now I am trying to branch out with more mainstream writing. I was utterly disappointed with how 50 Shades of Gray portrayed the BDSM community. I wanted to write a thriller set in that community that shows a better representation of the diversity of people who make BDSM a part of their lifestyle. That doesn't mean everyone is on the up and up or doesn't have their own issues.

It's random. I'll be listening to the radio or overhear a conversation and I'll think 'I wonder how I would act in that situation' or 'I wonder what it would be like to experience that'.

I go for a walk or bake cookies. Basically, I do something other than writing when time allows. If there's a deadline, I sit down and write anyways. It's easier to edit poor writing that it is to edit a blank page.
