There are three things I would tell would-be writers. First, never give up...not on writing and not on whatever you are working on. Second, no writing is wasted. Those unused brainstorms are alive with ideas, phrases, and situations that are like money in the bank. Finally, never fear to show your work in public. It is like being naked, but slightly less embarrassing...go for it.

My most recent book is Hatchlings and the title came about because of a reader asking how I hatched ideas for my stories. The fourteen stories in the book were indeed hatched in my imagination.
