I read this tip in the book The Art Of War For Writers -- grab a book off your bookshelf and turn to any random page. Scan the page. The first complete sentence you read, write it down. That's your first sentence. Start from there. Then go back when you're done and change the first sentence slightly so you're not plagiarizing :)
