I make it a point to write something every day. The physical act of writing kicks off all kinds of responses in my brain, even if what I'm writing is a journal entry or a silly blog post, or even an extended email, I'm usually able to transition from there to whatever writing project I'm blocked on. If I can't jump back in and pick up where I left off, I always have something else I'm working on that requires editing. It's good to have multiple writing projects in process.
