T.K. Thorne Oz. I loved all the books. The world was so real to me, when I finished the last one and realized I was never going to be able to fly over the Deadly Desert to Oz, I cried like a baby. Not saying how old I was either!
T.K. Thorne I've always been drawn to the love story of Lancelot and Guinevere, but my heart grieved for King Arthur too. When I wrote Noah's Wife, a similar triangle evolved, but I put in twists that changed everything. Authors do not always know consciously what they are doing with archetypes and in my case I didn't until the book was finished.
T.K. Thorne I clean the house. It doesn't help, but I feel better.
T.K. Thorne The best thing is getting to capture a moment, an idea, a thought, a vision, and make it real for other people.
T.K. Thorne Never give up. That's the only way to insure failure. It is depressing to get rejections and hit dead ends. Write another story or book. I wrote six novels before Noah's Wife was published.
T.K. Thorne My new novel, Angels at the Gate is coming out March 5, 2015 and I've been working on all the myriad of pieces (in addition to the actual writing)--the editing process, summary blurbs, etc.

But meanwhile, I am also working on a historical non-fiction about behind the scenes in Birmingham, Alabama during the 1960's.
T.K. Thorne Inspiration to write often hits me at in the shower, in the car, loading the dishwasher. My mind just goes off and plays with an idea or a character will say something or a scene will play out. It's also helpful to actually sit at the computer with fingers on keyboard as that is a trigger to "writing mode."
T.K. Thorne It's kind of a funny story. I wrote about it on my blog: http://tks-tales.com/2014/06/16/angel...

Thanks for asking.
