Kaylin McFarren The Harry Potter universe but only if am a wizard, not a muggle. One of the biggest advantages of living in the Potter universe would be getting around. With options such as broomsticks, Floo powder, and apparating, getting from place to place would be a breeze. Apparating is especially useful as you can just pop in and out of different places as long as they are within a certain radius. No more buses, cars, or biking to get around. If you’re an animal person like myself, the world of Harry Potter would also be an amazing place to inhabit. There are so many magical creatures to learn about and study. The best part of this is that many of these creatures make for great pets. From magic rats to extremely smart owls to pygmy puffs, there are a variety of creatures you could make your companion. While many magical creatures aren’t suitable to be a pet, the wildlife of the wizarding world is full of wonder and excitement and I'd love to work as a veterinarian there.
Kaylin McFarren Debbie Harry's new book, Face It, The Dutch House by Ann Patchett, and The Secrets We Keep by Laura Prescott.
Kaylin McFarren They delivered the mannequins to the department store in bubble wrap. From the next room, I begin to hear popping.
Kaylin McFarren Why was the lowest offer for the estate we've lived in for 20 years accepted by the previous owners?
Kaylin McFarren Very much, although I need to allot the time in my very busy schedule.
Kaylin McFarren Actually both, but primarily writing them. Believe it or not, I get drawn into my stories as much as my readers do. :)
Kaylin McFarren Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I love their twisted romance, the sexual tension between them, and how they misjudge one another.
Kaylin McFarren I offered my book for free on Amazon.com in exchange for reviews and included it in Goodread Giveaways, where reviews are given after a book is won and read.
Kaylin McFarren I try to spend a little time away from my writing when faced with a block. This might involve a long walk to clear the air and cobwebs, reading a book, or watching a movie. Then I pick up my manuscript and re-read the last chapter. Often that's all it takes to get the gears turning again.
Kaylin McFarren There will be two more books in the Threads series and the next one is titled Twisted Threads, which brings together the villains from Buried Threads and Banished Threads. This book is currently in the works and should be available for purchase in late January.
Kaylin McFarren I love seeing my work completed and hearing back from readers. When they refer to my characters as individuals they want to know more about, then I know I've done a decent job in bringing them to life.
Kaylin McFarren Read like there's no tomorrow. There are so many amazing books out there to enjoy and learn from, and the best ideas come from exploring your imagination.
Kaylin McFarren I just completed the third installment in my Threads series - Banished Threads, which will be available for purchase on March 20th. Although I originally intended to end the series with this book, I decided to continue with another volume, which will bring some of my "troublemakers" together and will be appropriately titled Twisted Threads.
Kaylin McFarren I developed an interest in poetry and short story writing at the age of 12 and was most inspired by a college professor, who encouraged me to keep journals and challenge my writing ability.
Kaylin McFarren My dream of opening and operating an art gallery became a reality on June 5, 1999 and continued for eight joyful years. By combining my love for visual arts, passion for mysteries and thrillers, and wonderful journeys to England, I was able to come up with a fun scenario for my cast of adventure-seeking characters.
