The more I write, the more inspired I get. So, I try to put in some time on a daily basis. For me, I then focus on the project at hand. I always have multiple potential projects in mind or outlines started. I then start archiving the research and eventually the moment hits me or the deadline I have set approaches and I start writing and focusing on that project.

Start. Just start a journal, use your phone or pad during off moments, traveling time, lunch, late night or commute time. It's all about taking it out of your brain and putting it down on paper (or the device :). Just start, don't try to be overly organized, you can always reorganize elements or chapter, you just have to write.
