My inspiration comes from people watching, I may hear something someone says and it sparks an idea for a character or a title for a book and it's like a snowball effect idea after idea starts flowing. It also comes from reading, watching shows or movies in the genre that I write in, and just life in general when you're passionate about something it's impossible to turn it off inspiration hits at any time.

Those familiar with me and my work know that my titles all have a connective tissue with one another all revolving around Black Love, the titular main character in the Black Love Detective Series. In the 5th installment in the Black Love Detective Series: The Detective and the Criminal, I got the idea by wanting to expand on this character's world by introducing his mother and explaining why she was never around and how that may have impacted Black and made him who he is today.
