I am very much attracted to Jane Austen's England. Not great place for most folks, but if I could be someone like Mr. Knightly - you know, have a great estate and plenty of income, well, that would be kind of fun, I think.

You never know. I listen to music. Old, happy songs from my high-school and college days. That makes me remember. Classical music, too. And mellow jazz - Coltrane, and there are lots of others. And I read the Bible, particularly the Psalms. That almost always gets me thinking.

I've had no commercial success, so why would anyone listen to me on this one. I do remember some advice from CS Lewis that I think is well worth repeating "Never throw anything away!" He says that almost all of his books spent months or even years in a desk drawer before he pulled them out and finished them.

No settled answer for this. Sometimes I just stop trying to write - stop trying to force it. Other times I just sit down (or stand up) and write a sentence, what ever comes into my mind at the moment, and then I go from there
