What a hard question! ;-) Truly, I find each book that I review to have characters who pull me into their world. If they don't, I don't review them. I can't stand negative reviews. My momma taught me the old dictum. "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything."
As for fictional couples, I'm all for any and all of Diana Gabaldon's--Jamie and Claire, Brianna and Roger, Ian and Jenny, Ian and Rachel, etc., etc. Each one of these couple have the real-to-life connection that I know first hand with my husband. The reality of the bond makes them connect with my personal experience.

From a dream! Really! I woke one morning with the first scene of the current work in progress playing out in my head and by the end of the day, I realized that I knew the entire story arc.

I don't remember not knowing how to read. Once I realized that all those lovely words were written by someone, I wanted to be one of those people. It started with poems and progressed to stories. After publishing two devotionals, I'm now working on some women's fiction novels.

I'm currently editing a nearly finished manuscript for MOTHER'S DAY, the first of five planned stories set in Cherry Hill, GA. If all goes to plan, I'll finally have a complete draft by the end of the year.

Read. Write.Rewrite. Repeat. That's the only way to get words on the page. Read to fill you tank. Write and then rewrite to get your stories out. And repeat until you're done. Simple, right? ;-)

I love writing! Without it, all these people in my head would remain forever stuck and voiceless. Can't have that, can we?

I cry! No...Well, not often. ;-) I'm trying to follow Diana Gabaldon's suggestion of allowing myself more than one WIP at a time. When one blocks up, the others are waiting. Hey, it works for a multiple NYT bestseller, so why shouldn't I try it?
