When I was younger I really loved The House of Night books. I am also obsessed with vampires. Still am. Definitely would love to go there but without all the drama.

I have always wanted to publish my poetry but never knew where to start. When I found out about self publishing I knew I wanted to go that route. I just wanted to share my words and hopefully inspire others. I wanted my book series to be in three parts, as I have 3 journals of writing. I wanted it to be a collection of my life journey. To know that I am not in that head space anymore and to see where I am now. It ahs actually inspired me and I am currently writing new material. I chose the book name as it is related to my great grandmother Frances. Her animal was the owl and I have always been inspired by her strength. Owls in our family represent our protector and is a positive message for us. I knew I would include owls in my works.

My life. Honestly. I can't remember what inspired me to start writing. All I remember was I was 14, I had a dollar store journal and a pencil. It just came through. My grandfather wrote poetry but I didn't find that out until I was adult! So, in some ways it is a gift.

I have just finished up the manuscript from my second poetry journal. My next project is starting the manuscript for my third journal to complete my 3 book poetry series.

I still feel like an aspiring writer myself, if I'm being honest. I love seeing other writers succeed, it is inspiring. I guess I would say, support your writing community and write what you love.

The best thing about being a writer is being able to turn my own personal experiences, good or bad into a story for others. I hope sharing my journey can help others in theirs. I hope I can inspire others.

I like to listen to music. I am still listening to the music I listened to when I was younger it brings a nostalgia and I am inspired again. Music is definitely an inspiration for me. I love music that you can personally connect with and relate to.
