The Black Knight books take longer because they're usually more complex stories, plus since they are traditionally published it takes at least six months from the time I finish one to get it into y'all's hands. The next one should be quicker - I'm shooting for next summer, which will be about a year turnaround.
Bubba is going to be going longer, into quarterly novellas, so his cases will be a little more complicated and less cut and dried. He's going to have plenty to deal with from vampires to Pan to the Wild Hunt, There's always more things that go bump in the night!
There will be more Quincy Harker, Book 3, Hell on Heels, will be out early August.
Thanks for all your support, I really appreciate it!

I was raised by good people and taught that everybody deserves to be treated equally. When you're raised by two amazing parents like I was, it's hard to go too far wrong. :) Thanks for that. I appreciate it!

(view spoiler)[I'd read some interesting but contradictory reviews, so I thought I'd ask you directly:
Is the character of Sabrina in The Black Knight Chronicles someone that we readers are intended to like and admire? (hide spoiler)]

Like, certainly, although I certainly can't force you to like or dislike anyone, Sabrina isn't intended to be an unlikable character. She's got her flaws, like everyone, and has certainly made her mistakes, like all of use, but overall she's intended to be a good person and a likable character. As far as admire, that's an even more personal decision. I didn't write her (or really anyone in the books) to be a role model or shining example of anything, but I think she has some admirable qualities. She has some less admirable qualities as well, but most people do.
So I guess I'd say that yes, I intend her to be likable, although if some people don't like her, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. There will always be some folks that don't like some things or people. And as far as admire goes, I feel like that's a pretty deeply personal thing and I haven't really created anyone to be admired as a whole.
I hope that answered your question, and thanks for reading! I appreciate it.

Writer's block is bullshit. Writers write, period. Quit whining about your muse and get to work. It's your job, and you either love it or you need to be doing something else. If you're stuck on a plot point, go back to the outline and figure out what you screwed up. If you're out of story, then type "The End." But don't sit around whining about writer's block. Either write, or don't.
