High school is not easy, especially for incoming freshmen, and twice as bad if you’re a girl. It all starts on that dreadful first day, when you enter an unpredictable new world and discover the true meaning of paranoia. If the fear and insecurity doesn’t get you, there is always bullying, stress of grades, and potential for humiliation on social media lurking. Then there is the whole pressure to “put out” thing.

Rainbow Laces follows six teenage girls from different walks of life as they try to navigate this difficult age. All they have in common is their youth league soccer team. And sometimes, having something in common, even just the color of the laces of their soccer cleats, is all a girl needs.
