Inspiration to write has always been there. It was a high school English teacher who encouraged me to begin with journaling, but many teachers along the way were very encouraging.

In my novella, The Gardener's Daughter, included in Of Rags and Riches Romance Collection, the setting came to me because my grandfather used to work in Bay View, Michigan. He was a carpenter who did odd jobs there, one of which was to open and close all the cottages in Bay View in the spring and fall. I have vivid memories of driving by those lovely homes overlooking the Bay.
