Amy Shannon Just sit down and write, don't worry about anything but putting words on a paper. some rely too much on word count or grammar or other things that stop the process, but just write, and put it together once the first draft is done.
Amy Shannon Since I am also a book review besides being an author, anything that is on my list are usually from requests for reviews. However, I hope to finish up Patterson's Women's Murder club (I'm on book 14) before book 16 comes out. I have several hundred books in my kindle, and some series that I am finishing up. I like to read a complete series of a book I like, but it always depends on requests and what WIP I am working on.
Amy Shannon I take two approaches, when I have writer's block, I read. It doesn't matter if it's something I wrote or by another author, but I read. When writing the story, I make something explosive happen, such as someone pointing a gun, someone unexpectedly cheating, a loving couple have a fight or a bombing. I never know what's going to happen in my stories until I write it, so unexpected things that happen can be easily written.
Amy Shannon Taking what is inside my head and putting it on paper, making my stories come to life. I also love it when others enjoy reading what I write. That is one of the best things.
Amy Shannon If it's in you to write, just write. If you struggle to write, decide if it's truly in you to write. Writing should be natural and you should always have a story to tell, and it doesn't matter how long or short.
Amy Shannon I have two projects I am working on. A spin-off story from the Sars Springs Saga and a third volume of Passionate Retribution
Amy Shannon Anything can be an inspiration. Environment, people, movies, music ... art.
I am an artist and I paint with words that become my stories.
