Ruth Saberton Thank you so much for this. I’ve only just seen your message and I’m truly grateful you took the time to write. I’m delighted you enjoyed The Locket, especially the parallel storylines. That means a great deal. I'm thrilled that you love my use of language. ❤️
Since you asked, I’ve written several books since then, and I’m currently working on a new novel set between Cornwall and France across two timelines, which I’m very excited about.
Thank you again for your kind words and support. Messages like yours make the writing journey feel far less lonely.
Ruth Saberton Hi Karren, first of all a HUGE apology for not seeing this message. I returned here today because I wanted to find a space that was all about books and reading. A little solace in a world that feels as though it's turning upside down and inside out.
I hope my books still appeal! I have written lots more since 2022. The audio book side of production has been slow. The reason for this is because the lovely studio I planned to use (Sawmills on the River Fowey - only reached by boat) has been sold. In the meantime I need to build a booth of my own. Working on it. - or rather my partner is!
Ruth Saberton When I find I can't write it's a great indicator that I'm not writing something that I am loving 100%. I normally put it away and go back to it later on. In the meantime I'll write something different.
Ruth Saberton I love the whole process of writing a book. It's an escape from everything. I believe with all my heart that if one person enjoys what I have written then all the hard work and angst is worthwhile.
Ruth Saberton Write! As much as possible. Never give up. Expect to eat baked beans for a long time! Make friends with other writers. They are a wonderful support.
Ruth Saberton I'm currently working on "Escape to the Sun". This is the latest installment of my "Escape" series.
Ruth Saberton I have always written. It's like an addiction. If I don't write then I just don't feel like me.
Ruth Saberton It popped into my head while I was on the London Underground on the way back from Orion!
