Why did my mother claim That her friend Dorothy was her daughter?

My little 20 lb dog is strong enough to pull me over to a tree he wants to mark. I tease him that he is a rhinoceros in another dimension, or maybe a dinosaur. One day I called him a Rhinocersaurus. And then I started thinking that a Rhinocersaurus would have a Dinopotamus for a friend. I started writing about adventures for both of them, but my writing group had trouble saying Rhinocersaurus, so I switched the stories to just Dinopatumus. Then I thought -- I could illustrate this -- nobody can tell me I've drawn a Dinopotamus wrong. Now there are three Dinopotamus stories. I'm in the process of illustrating the second one. The first one will be out next September.

I am always inspired to write. Ideas are my worlds. Also, I've been taking drawing classes. I'm amazed at how being able to draw my worlds, adds detail to my vision.

I'm currently rewriting Mr. Barsin's Toy Emporium in 1st person. The original version was in 3rd person.

Study plotting. The first version of a story is often "nice things happen to nice people." That's only the start. If you know how to plot, you can have much more fun with your imagination, and readers will enjoy your worlds more, too.

I love being able to use words to play with ideas. Before I learned to write, my stories played out as fleeting daydreams. Now, I can play with them repeatedly, alter them, and expand them. My daydreams become places I can visit whenever I choose.

I don't have that problem. My mind pops up with more ideas than I will ever finish in this lifetime.
