Charlie Spedding I have worked as a Pharmacist for over 30 years but I left the profession feeling very disillusioned. I realised that people with metabolic diseases were taking their medication but they were not getting better. The drugs were treating the symptoms but doing nothing for the root cause of their disease. I also realised that politicians are always promising to support the health service but when they ask 'How much should we spend on Health Care?' they are asking the wrong question. The question they should ask is 'Why are so many people ill?'
Stop Feeding Us Lies was written to answer that question. We are constantly bombarded with advice on how to be healthy but my research shows that a great deal of it is completely wrong. For example, we are told to avoid cholesterol; reduce salt intake; eat a low-fat, high-carb diet; swap saturated fat for 'vegetable' oils; and base our meals on starchy foods. All of these things make our health worse, not better. I spent five years researching and writing this book so people could hear the truth about how to healthy.
